Johnson Creek RV Park Ingram, TX July 19 thru 25, 2011

This is the Greatest ,  Life is Good !
God has Blessed us Greatly ~

We decided to go and have a leisure week with our friends.

We met George and Pat Franklin and
Phil and Gisele Roberts
in Ingram, Texas
at the Johnson Creek RV Park.

We had nice Pecan shade trees in the park.  Phil and Gisele met up with us in Ingram on Wednesday  July 20th.  The weather was warm but we had the shade and usually a good breeze.

Dan and I brought watermelon and it sure hit the spot on the warm afternoon.

                                                     UMMM  this is good !

The deer came everyday to see if they could find
any food . The came all around the campers
at night.  We could see evidence !! Lots of
evidence !

They were so pretty and so much fun to
watch.  There were a few very young ones
and a couple looked as if they may have been twins.

Dan tried his luck at fishing down at the creek.  He did catch one.... you will have to
check George Franklin's blog to view that catch.
It was catch and release so we didn't have fish for dinner.  LOL

What do we have here ???

George is hoping for S.S.  check comes soon,
he lost the sole of his shoe ~

This is the way we spent our afternoons.

We were introduced to Culver's by George and Janet Lamb at the DeMontrond Rally in Kerrville June of 2009.
It was everything we could do to think up reasons we had to drive into Kerrville to go to WalMart so we could then stop by Culver's for our Frozen Custard.

" Thank you to the Lamb's . You will always be remembered every time we go to Culver's"

This was our final visit to Culver's....  we were sad for tomorrow we must go home.

                                                              Oh the decisions...

I had to try the Banana Split....I must say it was wonderful .  SOOO  GOOD !

                                                                     Yumm Yumm
Is this a look of satisfaction  OR  sad because we don't
have a Culver's in Cypress.

Now its back to the campground for the game of Skip-Bo....
It was great fun... we had lots of laugh and lots of mess up !
Can't wait until we can play again !

We so enjoyed the week  ~  Look forward to the next adventure.

Fredericksburg and Kerrville June 2 thru June 11, 2011

This is the very first of my blogs.

We had a very good time with our friends Bob and Margaret Fitzgerald and Buddy and Nancy Danna in Fredericksburg prior to our DeMondtond Rally.
They tried to teach me how to play 42 and this was quite an experience.  I did have a great time and they say there is good hope that I may succeed in this game.
We had 2 days of Shopping in Frederickburg.  Boy what a time we had and bought some treasures !

On Sunday, June 5th we went over to Kerrville to meet up with our Rally Buddies. We had a great time and enjoyed the relaxation of the park.  We loved swinging out by the river and watching the deer and the squirrels run and play.

Our favorite past time eating ~
This was a very good Mexican food Restaurant in Fredericksburg.

We went to the Wildseed Farms Store in Fredericksburg.
This Hibcus was huge ! Beautiful flowers and love the gift items they have there.

Bob and Margaret Fitzgerald and Buddy and Nancy Dana

We had lunch at Billy Gene's Restaurnat in Kerrville.

This is a Happy couple !  Behind us you can see Sharon Goodlet, Pat and George Franklin.

We drove to Valverde for lunch.  It was a nice drive up in the hill country.

We could hear Buddy exclaim after having lunch  "Gilbert !!  You don't mean it ~ I can't believe that."

This is quite a Three Some ~
Boy you need to watch out when you get the three together.
                                                                    Fun for All !

We loved the park here in Kerrville.
The beautiful Pecan Trees. We love to sit in the swings and
watch the deer and the squirels play.
It is so peaceful and relaxing !

We were surprised by a visit with Dan's brother Jim.
He came in from Maryland for a class reunion in San Antonio.
                                                                  What a Surprise !
